Adult Education

Throughout the year, there are programs designed to meet the needs and interests of our adult community. As they are developed, they will be posted here for you to attend and enjoy. Here is what we are currently running:

“Torah for Today” – Every Saturday morning around 10:50AM via Live Stream and Zoom
Classroom Series online via Zoom:
“The Jews of……” which will explore different Jewish communities around the world. Look for announcements in your email and on Constant Contact.
“Did Jew Know?” which will explain different Jewish laws and customs based upon the famous book titled by the same name.

On an ongoing basis, in addition to programs sponsored by Men’s Club, Sisterhood and the Rabbi, the Adult Education Committee sponsors lectures and events promoting Jewish Culture and History.  The events are often made available through remote technology and members can enjoy them from the comfort of their own homes.   These events range from topics that are as lighthearted as, “Is Superman Jewish?” to serious matters like Holocaust studies.  In between this range we have lectures on Jewish Communities around the world, both as they currently exist and as they did throughout history and other cultural events such as virtual walking tours of significant sites of interest.  Presenters include authors, scholars, lay and religious leaders and entertainers.  In short there is something for everyone.

We are always looking for additional subjects that interest our members.   If you have an idea for a presentation, please let us know.  You can send an email to OFFICE@cao-nj.org and our office manager will forward your ideas to the Adult Education Commitee.

Keep an eye on Constant Contact for upcoming events.
